New issue of Sailing Today with Yachts & Yachting out now

The June issue of Sailing Today with Yachts & Yachting is on sale now and we have a great mix of cruising skills and inspiration for you this month.

First off, we were at the International Multihull Show this month. It was a fascinating two days, seeing round the latest cats and tris on the market. We bring you the highlights.

In our monthly New Boats section, this Ice 53 is an attention-seeker.

Our regular Buyer’s Guide looks at the latest MFDs and AIS units available. This market is ever changing and ever more impressive!

We love your cruising stories and this month we are lucky to feature a great story by David Stephenson, who knows the Scottish west coast like the back of his hand.

Natural Navigation is a subject that has been pioneered, in modern times, by Tristan Gooley. We are in the midst of featuring a great series by author William Thomson, who writes this month with more great tips on how to navigate using birds!

We introduce our Charity of the Year, the Tall Ships Youth Trust, which does fantastic work changing the lives of young people – by taking them sailing.

The capacious interior of the new Outremer 52, featured in our ‘first look’ section.

The boat on our cover is the Elan Impression 53, a lovely cruising yacht and these dreamy photos do it justice. Editor Sam Jefferson jumped aboard for a full test.

A beach club holiday is one of the greatest ways for any sailing-mad family to spend a week or two, staying in an appartment beachside with a fleet of welll-maintained boats ready for your use as you wish. We look at what’s on offer from Seafarer, Wildwind and others in this ever-tempting market.

Sint Maarten, Heineken Regatta, 2023, Race Day 3, Saturday, March 4, Round The Island

Our writer Rupert Holmes has been out in St Maarten in the Caribbean, getting a taste of racing in the famous Heineken regatta out there. Tough gig for Rupert!

The Ocean Race fleet had a tough time as they blasted through the Southern Ocean at speeds of more than 30 knots. We get in the inside line on what it was really like.

And finally a thought-provoking piece as we start the season – the merits of paper and digital charts. There is plenty more in our new issue – we hope you enjoy it.
